The Live Coaching Call

The cohort coaching call is the one element of the May Intensive that does not exist in the standard self-paced format. Every enrolled participant — stylists, salon teams, and educators — joins the same call in the final week of May.

Serriah will walk through real client scenarios, answer assessment questions, work through applying TDF to specific service situations, and address what the diagnostic findings actually mean at the chair. This is not a webinar. It is a working session.

After May 31st, the next live session with Serriah returns to individual booking at $597 per session.

Self-Paced Within the Cohort Month

The courses are self-paced — you move through them on your schedule within May. The cohort structure means the live call is available and the cohort community is active. There is no required log-in time or live session attendance for the course modules themselves.

What happens if I enroll and do not finish before May 31st?
Course access does not close on May 31st — that is the enrollment deadline, not the access deadline. You retain full access to all course materials after the cohort closes. What closes on May 31st is the cohort pricing and the live coaching call availability. If you enroll before May 31st, you are in. The live call happens in the final week of May and is recorded for those who cannot attend live.
I am a school director. Why should I enroll in the individual offer instead of just waiting for the school license?
You should not choose between them — they serve different purposes. The school license is for deploying TDF inside your program. The individual certification is for understanding TDF yourself, so you can speak to it with authority when you bring the school license proposal to your board. Many directors find that having completed the certification themselves is the most effective tool they have in an internal budget conversation. At $797, the May Intensive is also the fastest path to generating documented evidence you can present institutionally — before the school license decision is made.
I am a salon owner. Do all six of my stylists need to start at the same time?
No. The salon team package gives all six stylists immediate access to the full course the moment you enroll. Each stylist moves at their own pace within the cohort month. The private team coaching call is scheduled for a time that works for your team — you choose the date and time for that call. The only fixed date is May 31st, which is when enrollment closes and when the standard pricing returns.
What does the Texture Profile Specialist™ credential allow me to do?
The credential is marketable immediately. It signals to clients and employers that you assess textured hair using a structured, 14-point clinical protocol rather than intuition. You can display it on your booking platform, your salon profile, your Instagram bio, and your resume. It also positions you for the TDF Educator Track if you want to teach the framework professionally. Educators who earn the certification in the May Intensive receive a $400 reduction on the Train-the-Trainer pathway — reducing it from $1,997 to $1,597 for 90 days after cohort close.
I am already a cosmetology educator. Is there content here I do not already know?
The properties covered in the TDF curriculum — porosity, elasticity, density, texture — are not new vocabulary for a licensed educator. What TDF provides is a systematic, structured, and documentable assessment protocol built around those properties, applied before any service begins. Most educators have strong intuition about these properties. TDF converts that intuition into a repeatable, teachable, assessable system — which is what the state mandates require and what institutional accountability demands.
